B Division final for Killarney at 2011 Alcan

The Cougar Dragons hit a new height at the 2011 Rio Tinto Alcan Dragon Boat Festival reaching the 'B' division final. This is highest we've ever placed in the 5 years of paddling Alcan. Killarney paddled to an impressive 6th place in the B final. Congratulations and well done Killarney!

Bronze Medal at Rio Tinto Alcan

Another fine finish at the 2010 Rio Tinto Alcan International Dragon Boat Festival for the Killarney paddlers. A few ups and downs on the way to the final showed what a fine team the Cougar Dragons are--a team strong in passion and poise, focused and dedicated to the greatest of water sports. The KDBRC finished third in the "C" division final of the youth paddlers earning a well deserved Bronze medal. First place at DZ Junior Regatta

The Killarney Cougar Dragons streaked to a first place finish in the 'B' division final today at the Dragon Zone Junior Regatta. Killarney was 3 seconds faster than their next competitor in the final after placing 4th in both preliminary races. Well done Cougar Dragons!

A Brand New Season is Under Way

The 2010 Cougar Dragons are up and at 'em and paddling once again in False Creek. A late beginning because of the Olympics hasn't stopped us one bit. With just practices under our belt we participated in the 500m Sprint Races and managed a very respectable 4th place in each of our heats. Now looking forward to the Junior Regatta (May 15) and the Dragon Zone 500 (June 5/6) and of course he big one Rio Tinto Alcan June 18-20. Come on down on Wednesday afternoons to cheer us on.

Paddles up! for Rio Tinto Alcan

The Killarney Cougar Dragons are gearing up for the annual Alcan Dragon Boat festival June 20/21 in False Creek. Killarney did well at both the Dragon Zone Junior regatta and the Dragon Zone 500 and now look forward to racing for the Gold at the Alcan.

Cougar Dragon practices begin Tuesday 3 March 2009 @ the Dragon Zone. Coaches Todd and Steven will be there to greet you and start you on your journey to the Rio Tinto Alcan Festival. Be sure to get your waivers into Mr. Mackinnon in A226 or Ms Greer/Ms North in the Library before Tuesday.
